It was in the year 2011 that India finally got it’s first ever Formula 1 racing circuit. The Buddha International Circuit has since then been the favourite location for organising important events like some major corporate events, big musical concerts and many marathons over the last five years. Three Grand Prix races have been organised at this circuit and all of them have been majorly successful.
Specifications of BIC
The tracks at Buddh International Circuit are about 5 kilometres long and there is a combination of about 16 different corners across the tracks. These tracks at BIC have been designed in such a way that they make the Motto Grand Prix races very interesting and provide the racers with many opportunities to overtake, thus making it unpredictable. For instance, there are several high speed straights which suddenly end in elevations and sharp turns, making the races fun and exciting.
Safety Norms
Buddh International Circuit has been designed in a way that makes the races rather interesting and unpredictable, but at the same time, total care of medical facilities and safety procedures has also been kept in mind. All the rules and regulations to ensure that the tracks are safe are followed thoroughly. There are run-off areas to keep it easy and comfortable for the racers. There are medical facilities all ready to take action in case of accidents. Plenty of space for media personnel and videographer has also been reserved here.
Design
The Buddha International Circuit has been designed by the renowned German race track designer and an architect who is the master in his field, Herman Tilke. The classic track of UAE and the amazing F1 track of the U.S. were designed by the same designer and hence there are no chances of any error with the architecture.
